Dreamers of All Ages are Welcome Here

 

As a travel advisor who focuses his career on helping families plan their vacations together, it's hard avoid some of the backlash surrounding the inclusive language being introduced at theme parks this year. 

I am now, and always have been a believer in inclusivity. While I don't discuss it much publicly, I grew up in a mixed-cultural household in a predominately white area. It took a long time for me to understand why I always felt so out of place with my peers, and only as an adult came to realize that not fitting in was only the tip of the iceberg. 

Vacationing, whether at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Universal Studios, or anywhere else in the world should be something that brings people together rather sow discord. If changing terminology to include "Dreamers of All Ages" is what it takes to include everyone than I'm all on board.
