With the return of CEO Bob Iger, many fans were hoping for a return of the "Disney Magic" that many believed was lacking under the leadership of Bob Chapek. While the news out of Disney Parks today is not an instant return to a pre-pandemic Disney, it is a nice start.

Free parking at Walt Disney World resort hotels

In what is in my opinion the biggest piece of news from this announcement is the return to complimentary parking for guests staying at Walt Disney World hotels. This change alone may mean a savings of potentially hundreds of dollars for the average family over a 4-6 day vacation. 

Changes coming to Disney Genie+ and annual passholders

Guests purchasing the Disney Genie + add on will soon receive complimentary photo downloads from certain attractions. While a date for this feature has not been listed yet, it does add some value to the already controversial Disney Genie + service. Annual passholders will now also be able to have more flexibility when using their passes after 2pm at the Walt Disney World resort as well.

But wait, there's more!

Guests visiting the Disneyland resort will also receive complimentary photo pass downloads at select attractions and will be able to switch parks beginning at 11am in the morning now! In addition, Disneyland is rolling out more $104 priced tickets than ever before!

While there still seems to be some work to return the Disney parks to their former glory, many of these changes are a welcome breath of fresh air.
